If you want to fly helicopters as a career you must hold a Commercial Pilot Licence (H) which allows for remuneration for the piloting services provided.
The course requires a minimum of 35 flight hours including five hours of night experience that is necessary for the issue of a Night Rating. If a Night Rating is already held then the minimum requirement is reduced to just 30 hours.
The aim of the CPL(H) course is to train PPL(H) holders to the level of expertise necessary to fly as a professional pilot.
